Clínica Alemana de Santiago S.A, subsequently renamed “Corporación Chileno-Alemana de Beneficencia” (Chilean-German Charitable Corporation) in the year 2000, it is a charitable foundation established in 1905, it is situated at Vitacura 5951, Santiago, Chile, it is a branch of “Sociedad de Beneficencia Hospital Alemán”.
Early 20th century, the German community determination in Chile led to establishing the first Clínica Alemana situated on Dávila Street. The hospital, was eventually sold to a bank workers retirement fund (Caja Bancaria de Pensiones). The earnings of the sale, combined with the valuable support of the German Evangelical Center for Development Assistance (Evangelische Zentralstelle fur Entwicklungdhilfe), were used to construct the Clínica Alemana at its existing location. The new structure which was opened to the public in 1973.
The visionary developers of Clínica Alemana decided to construct the new facility in the midst of a pleasant residential area, now at the heart of Santiago’s strategically-located eastern sector.
The clinic hires qualified professionals and have various facilities, which enables it concentrate its resources and determinations to improve the health and welfare of the community it serves.
With over 10 years of providing medical services and healthcare for international patients, the international patient service of Clínica Alemana accommodates over 3000 patients from more than 60 different countries per annum, with 58 medical specialties and subspecialties available at the clinic. Efforts are made to optimize the patient’s time away from home.
The Service provides coordination at no supplementary charge medical appointment, exams, checkups, hospitalization, emergency care, and, when requested, a second medical opinion for diagnosis and treatment.
Clínica Alemana accepts payment for medical care supported by a guarantee of payment from various international insurance companies, if it is established by your health insurance. Coordination is carried out by bilingual nurses if needed who are the patient’s point-of-contact from the beginning to the end of all medical attention at the Clinic.
Clínica Alemana is advantageously situated in the locality called Vitacura, one of the most developed and modern areas of Santiago. The vicinity is close to shopping centers, parks, hotels and restaurants enables visitors to combine medical attention with tourism and relaxation. Santiago provides easy access to coastal cities such as Viña del Mar, several downhill ski centers and Chile’s principal airport, which offers flights to tourist destinations in other parts of the country as the Atacama Desert in the north and Torres del Paine National Park in the south of Chile.
